National Clean Air Day at INTU Victoria Centre

INTU Victoria Centre Nottingham will host a community event in conjunction with GAP and Nottingham Forest Youth Academy.

Activities will include:

Talks on the effects of air pollution, and the various ways we can take action to improve air quality in our city

Nottingham Forest Youth Academy will provide a fun day of football activities in the south of the centre, with a football shoot-out activity providing engagement and awareness of clean air and the contributing factors of poor air quality in the city of Nottingham.

Healthcare event at the Queens Medical Centre

The Queens Medical Centre will be hosting an event for healthcare staff and members of the public.

Activities will include:

  • Representatives from the city’s public transport providers will be on hand to give talks and information on the public transport links in the area outside the tram stop.

  • There will be a representative from a contracted car lease company who will have an electric car on show.

  • Nottingham Bike Works will have a stand at the hospital where they have some bikes to show staff and members of the public.

  • Global Action Plan representatives will be giving out information on the effects of air pollution, and how we can all play our part to reduce air pollution.

”Leave your car at home” - National Clean Air Day events at various Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust locations

Health trusts will promote their services on clean air at various locations.

The Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust will be encouraging staff to leave their car at home, and giving employees incentives to use electric vehicles instead of conventional fuel vehicles.


National Clean Air Day at the NHS Nottingham Clinical Commission Group

The Nottingham Clinical Commission Group will be supporting the “leave your car at home” campaign, and giving their staff information on the available public transport options.

Nottingham City Transport Buses - Travel Options event

Nottingham Public Transport Department and Nottingham City Transport exhibit clean travel options available in Nottingham city through information leaflets and on the spot guidance.

No idling activity - uniformed approach

Community Protection Officers in uniform will be approaching cars and advising of the ‘No idling’ approach, how it contributes to clean air, and the potential benefits upon the environment.

National Clean Air Day at The Nottingham Council office

The Nottingham City Council offices, Loxley House, will be hosting a National Clean Air Day event for all Council staff. Various teams working to deliver transport will be on hand to provide information and advice.

Activities include:
• Electric Pool Car test drives available from the Loxley House car park
• Advice on cycling options and routes in the city and free Dr Bike maintenance for staff
• Ticketing and timetable information on bus and tram options
• Information from Enterprise Car Club on the employee offers
• Personalised travel planning for employees wanting to find out about sustainable travel options suitable for them
• Information from Works Perks on the employee travel offers
• Pledge Wall inviting everyone to pledge how they will contribute to clean air in Nottingham by doing something different
• Information from Global Action Plan on the impacts of poor air quality on your health
• Scalextric Racing Room circuit powered by four bicycles in Loxley House atrium

A leading school in Nottingham will host fun activities based around lifestyle and behaviours to promote awareness and knowledge of poor air quality impacts and how to contribute to clean air in a school setting and environment.
