Freedom to breathe education sessions

Freedom to breathe webinars

GAP is delighted to launch the freedom to breathe campaign which will empower children to claim their right to a life essential, clean air.

At these events students will learn about the state of air quality, the benefits of cleaner air to children’s health and development, and the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, noting the absence of the explicit “right to clean air” (article 24). While the focus is on London, we welcome all UK schools to take part! The interactive and curriculum linked session will be hosted by Global Action Plan's Education specialists.

Freedom to breathe aims to gather the support of 20,000 children from four target cities (starting with Beijing, Delhi, London, Los Angeles) - in support of a call to the UN to acknowledge Children’s Right to Clean Air. Following this event, students will have the opportunity to join us at a virtual event in November to hear the response from the UN.

We’d love to help empower the students at your school to influence global players so that, together, we can ensure children the world over have Freedom to breathe.
